The Association of Fundraising Professionals Rhode Island Chapter (AFP-RI) is dedicated to improving the skills of fundraising professionals, increasing the participation of members and non-members alike in chapter activities and expanding our professional and career opportunities to embrace the diversity. We are now accepting applications for the Professional Development Scholarship
The Herbert E. Kaplan Fund provides full and partial professional development scholarships for fundraisers who wish to attend AFP-RI training, education workshops, Annual Conference on Philanthropy and special offerings with fees. The audience includes executive directors, development staff and leadership volunteers of grassroots and culturally diverse organizations. You do not need to be an AFP Member to qualify for an AFP-RI Scholarship to subsidize, in part or in full, the cost of attending.
2016 AFPRI Fundraising Day Conference date is fast approaching!
On June 17th more than 200 professional and grassroots fundraisers, executive directors, board members, service providers and funders will gather for networking and professional development at the AFPRI Fundraising Day Conference, a one-day conference hosted by the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Rhode Island Chapter (AFP-RI).
The theme of this year's conference is "Rhode Island for Rhode Island." We have recruited the best of the best in our state to educate Rhode Island fundraisers. And...we know your challenges!
The 2016 Conference will be a motivational, educational experience with the goal to inspire all and registration is now open!
We are now accepting applications for the Herbert E. Kaplan Youth in Philanthropy Scholarship
The Herbert Kaplan Youth in Philanthropy Scholarship is a $2,500 college scholarship given annually to a Rhode Island high school senior who demonstrates philanthropic spirit within the community. Applications for this scholarship are mailed in the spring to high school guidance departments to have available for students completing their junior year. If you know a high school student who exemplifies positive civic and community support through their interest and active involvement in volunteerism and philanthropic causes, please pass the application along.
