(this will be a 4 hour workshop, plan to stay for the entire time)

Maybe shock tactics will work. So here goes.
Do you have the guts to challenge yourself and your board?
Are you a good enough enabler to lead them to water and pretty much force them to drink?
This seminar should help you lead change – but only if you’re ready.

Good governance is no longer a luxury. This is a post-scandal world. Enron, Adelphia, WorldCom, Tyco already happened. So did the American Red Cross and United Way of America and the Smithsonian and more. All failures of governance. And the government responded with Sarbanes-Oxley and changes in the IRS 990.

Sector credibility is still lower than it used to be. That means less credibility with people in your community, surely with your prospects, and maybe even with your donors. Who knows what’s next? But you and your board should be worried, really worried.

Join this seminar ...
but only if you’re prepared for tough talk and tougher change. We’ll talk about governance as a collective act, the nature of power and privilege within boards (including rogue board chairs and executive committees), design of board meetings and conversation as a core business practice. And, we’ll talk about your role and your accountability for good governance.

Who should attend?
Anyone who works closely with the board to help with good governance, for example, executive directors, development officers, and most definitely, board members.
Beware… This seminar is targeted at those who have experience with boards.
This is not a basic 101 workshop.
